Senior Staff Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement an automotive-grade Uptane client framework for on-device OTA updates
• Design software verification paths for Primary and Secondary ECUs
• Implement multi-repository validation and cryptographic verification to prevent key compromise
• Develop firmware state machines to parse and validate Uptane cryptographic payloads
• Orchestrate end-to-end vehicle-level software bundle updates with dependency tracking
• Act as technical bridge to Cloud/Infrastructure team for edge-to-cloud interfaces

Requirements

• Expert-level C programming for bare-metal systems, custom bootloaders, and RTOS kernels
• Python for host-side tooling and secure payload wrapping
• Deep knowledge of Uptane security standards and multi-repository validation
• Experience with embedded OTA architecture and deterministic firmware development
• Familiarity with A/B slot updates, dual-bank execution, and fast fallback loops
• Experience with delta-compression, eMMC/UFS/QSPI flash, and bandwidth optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in high-durability partition and memory architecture
• Proven track record optimizing background payload streaming and flash lifespan
• Experience co-designing secure time-attestation protocols and vehicle version manifests
