Senior Staff Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

Responsibilities

• Drive design-in activities for the complete product portfolio in automotive applications such as IVI, ADAS, xEV, and Vehicle Controls.
• Act as a technical interface and consultant for automotive OEM customers during application development.
• Define new products by collaborating with customers and internal technical marketing and application teams.
• Derive customer system requirements and market trends to develop system value propositions.
• Manage projects alongside Sales and Marketing departments to achieve design-in targets.
• Lead technical discussions with System Architects to define application roadmaps and product requirements.
• Develop technical documentation including application notes, whitepapers, and system demonstrators.
• Perform system measurements and debugging in a laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar field.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience, including at least 5 years in automotive applications.
• Profound knowledge of semiconductors, including SoC, MCU, Analog, and Power products.
• Experience with operating systems and frameworks such as Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR, or RTOS.
• Proficiency in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development.
• Working knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety and Cybersecurity concepts.
• Hands-on skills in system bring-up, testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing OEM relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Field Applications Engineer or Application Engineer for Microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Experience with Vehicle Architecture and Network design.
• Proficiency in system-level Power and Thermal management.
