Senior Staff Engineer Test Hardware Development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain technical systems for the characterization of Si, SiC, and GaN HV Power Transistors
• Develop power device characterization methods for technology and product development, modeling, and competitor analysis
• Perform parasitics extraction and analysis using ANSYS tools, including modeling stray capacitance and inductance
• Conduct SPICE simulations (SIMetrix) for predictive validation prior to prototyping
• Design characterization and test infrastructure, including continuous operation test stations for extended stress conditions
• Document design specifications, test procedures, and compliance reports
• Act as a technical lead, providing guidance to the CV community and collaborating with Product Development, Technical Marketing, and System Engineering groups

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, with a focus on electronic systems or instrumentation
• At least 6 years of experience in Hardware Development within a laboratory environment
• Expertise in PCB Design for analog, digital, and mixed-signal applications, specifically within Power Electronics
• Proficiency with ANSYS tools for parasitics extraction and analysis
• Deep knowledge of Power Electronics devices, including HV Si, SiC, and GaN transistors
• Strong SPICE simulation skills (SIMetrix preferred)
• Proven experience in designing test infrastructure and hardware performance evaluation
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex hardware issues
