Senior Staff Engineer, Technology Development Engineering (PFA)

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical and physical failure analysis to isolate faults in memory devices
• Use advanced FA tools including SEM, FIB, nanoprobing, and OBIRCH for defect localization
• Interpret circuit schematics and layouts to collaborate with design engineers on complex cases
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability, yield, and test coverage
• Develop failure models and provide clear FA reports with corrective action recommendations
• Maintain FA tools, procedures, and analysis methodologies
• Mentor junior engineers in failure analysis techniques and best practices
• Expand lab capabilities by exploring new tools and methods

Requirements

• PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Physics, or related fields
• Minimum 6 years of related experience
• Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and electronic circuits
• Extensive knowledge in advanced technical areas of the failure analysis field
• Ability to execute complex, specialized technical projects
• Enthusiasm for hands-on lab work and problem-solving

• Excellent writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to technical work
