Senior Staff Engineer - Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop key location technologies using GNSS signals such as GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, Beidou, etc.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain C/C++ receiver models for RTL bit and cycle accurate verification and receiver algorithm development
• Design advanced signal processing algorithms, front-end, and baseband architectures for location receivers
• Work with large receiver end-to-end simulation models to demonstrate/benchmark system performance and validate hardware design
• Collaborate with DV, RTL, and SW/FW engineers to model and verify receiver ASIC implementation
• Perform design verification on FPGA, bring up ASIC and board, and conduct hands-on lab testing and debugging
• Perform detailed data analysis of product logs for performance characterization and issue resolution
• Prepare and present detailed technical reports on algorithms, software, and test results

Requirements

• Bachelors with 15+ years of relevant industry experience, Master with 13+ years, or Ph.D. with 10+ years in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or related
• Strong software development skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB
• Deep experience with wireless receiver architecture for GNSS or CDMA receivers (AGC, DSP filters, correlators, FFT, AFC, PLL)
• Excellent foundation in signal processing, detection theory, estimation theory, wireless channels, and demodulation
• Understanding of GNSS acquisition and tracking algorithms
• Experience with Jira, Gerrit, and Git
• Strong debugging and code analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in architecting and modeling wireless baseband receivers for GNSS systems
• Understanding of area-performance-power and hardware-software tradeoffs
• Experience collaborating with hardware design, design verification, RF systems, firmware, and driver teams
