About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of embedded software engineers in the development of advanced automotive solutions.
- Design, develop, and optimize microcontroller device drivers, RTOS, BSW layers, and Crypto Libraries.
- Drive the integration and bundling of software components across multiple Tier-1 and semiconductor vendors.
- Manage end-to-end execution of NRE projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to functional safety standards.
- Shape Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architectures and ensure scalable, modular software designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain safety cases, installers, and technical documentation.
- Support business development by creating Proofs of Concept (PoC) and providing technical effort estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical lead or engineering management role.
- Deep expertise in microcontroller device drivers and low-level firmware.
- In-depth knowledge of RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, AUTOSAR-compliant OS).
- Hands-on experience with BSW stacks and Crypto Libraries (security, secure boot, HSM).
- Proven experience with SDV software stacks and integrating multi-vendor software bundles.
- Experience working with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive SPICE (ASPICE) or similar process frameworks.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies within embedded environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and technical communication skills.
