Senior Staff Engineer Package Definition

Responsibilities

• Drive technical definition activities for package projects, including BOM, package design, and assembly technology.
• Generate conceptual package outlines and internal construction drawings, ensuring they are finalized and documented.
• Define package characteristics to meet electrical, thermal, reliability, and mechanical requirements.
• Coordinate package cost estimation (A1-A3) and cost indication (A3).
• Act as a package design expert throughout the project phase, supporting pre-development and project definition.
• Collaborate with partners and technical consultants to provide assembly technology expertise to the Business Division.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Physics, or similar).
• 7 years of relevant working experience in an IC or semiconductor environment.
• Deep knowledge of Semiconductor Packaging, Assembly, and Test processes.
• Expertise in Process and Equipment Engineering.
• Experience in Failure Analysis and Reliability Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D drafting is preferred.
