Senior Staff Engineer (IBM APP Connect)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Develop and maintain message flows, APIs, web services, and data transformation solutions.
• Build scalable and high-performance integration solutions using ESQL, XSLT, and Java.
• Manage the complete API lifecycle using IBM API Connect v10+, including design, versioning, and deployment.
• Configure API Gateway policies for security, traffic management, and rate limiting.
• Implement secure integration using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SSL/TLS standards.
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate API and integration deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to middleware platforms and message flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate middleware solutions with backend systems.

Requirements

• 7.5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Deep expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM Integration Bus.
• Strong hands-on experience with ESQL, XSLT, and Java development.
• Proficiency with REST, XML, JSON, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, and HTTPS.
• Experience with IBM API Connect v10 or later.
• Solid understanding of API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS).
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and command-line operations.
• Experience creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IBM MQ (configuration, administration, and troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with IBM DataPower and API Gateway technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
