About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-scale backend microservices and distributed systems for real-time fraud monitoring.
- Implement event data stream ingestion to support near real-time fraud rule setups.
- Build and optimize 24/7 high-scale APIs using Java and the Spring Framework on cloud infrastructure (AWS/Alicloud).
- Act as a technical leader by researching new technologies, promoting best practices, and solving complex performance and security challenges.
- Own the full service lifecycle, including writing unit/integration tests, CI/CD scripting, and monitoring production services.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and QA to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions for the risk ecosystem.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Deep proficiency in Java, including JVM tuning (memory/performance, GC), multi-threading, and concurrency.
- Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot), Hibernate, and Maven.
- Solid understanding of distributed system principles (CAP theorem, consistency, idempotency).
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle) including optimization, indexing, and locking.
- Familiarity with middleware and caching technologies such as Kafka, ELK, Redis, or Memcached.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including OOP/OOD and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive cross-team solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English.
- Experience in FinTech, eCommerce, SaaS, or the digital wallet industry.
- Deep interest or existing expertise in the blockchain and cryptocurrency landscape.
- Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones.
