Senior Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner on the technical vision and quality bar for the Channels division
• Drive architectural direction and define best practices
• Lead large, ambiguous projects end-to-end from design to implementation
• Mentor engineers at every level through code and architecture reviews
• Champion reliability, observability, and error handling across dashboard and delivery layers
• Design and build foundational systems and frameworks as a hands-on engineer

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven experience as a technical leader influencing multiple teams
• Full-stack proficiency with Ruby on Rails and modern frontend (TypeScript, React)
• Experience designing and shipping foundational infrastructure or platform services
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to manage technical debt
• Effective communication skills to translate technical risk into business outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building shared component libraries or design systems
• Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architectures
• Experience with developer experience tooling (code generation, CI/CD)
• Experience scaling products from early stage to enterprise scale
