Senior Staff DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain Ripple’s multi-region, multi-provider service platforms
• Lead the discovery of next-generation infrastructure solutions and work with engineering teams on implementation and adoption
• Build and automate platform and application lifecycle services to achieve declared states with minimal human interaction
• Supply the development of tools for automation, monitoring, and instrumentation to increase engineering efficiency
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure code is production-ready and drive DevOps-first principles across the organization

Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
• Extensive experience managing multi-region service platforms and cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker, Rkt, or OCI)
• Proven experience building deployment pipelines using common CI/CD tools
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with Agile development of distributed services, focusing on scalability and security

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container schedulers like Rancher or Mesos
• Strong security awareness and experience implementing security standard methodologies
