Senior Staff Controls Engineer, Platform

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead architect for enterprise scaling and compute deployment strategy for facility control systems
• Architect and develop global controls strategy in collaboration with enterprise partners
• Maintain and govern git repositories and enterprise-level templates for Ignition UDT primitives and IaC solutions
• Develop a comprehensive documentation strategy for maintenance and rapid scaling
• Lead the evolution of telemetry architecture and standardization for facility data
• Mentor engineers on software, data architecture, and enterprise standards

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in complex engineering or critical infrastructure
• Subject Matter Expertise in at least two of: Inductive Automation Ignition, DevOps, or containerization/orchestration
• Experience in data centers, oil & gas, semiconductor manufacturing, or energy generation
• Ability to translate business goals into technical architecture
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with Postgres, MSSQL, or other relational databases in high-availability environments
• Proficiency with Rockwell, Siemens, or Codesys
• Experience with low voltage electrical systems, controls I/O, and industrial networking (Cisco, Arista, Juniper)
