About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor pro bono attorneys
- Represent immigrant clients in immigration and related proceedings
- Collaborate with Senior Staff on legal strategies
- Contribute to organizational policies and strategies
- Provide detailed reporting statistics on mentored and represented cases
- Prepare training materials and presentations
Requirements
- J.D. degree and admission to a state bar
- 4+ years of immigration law experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, analytical, oral, and organizational skills
- Experience working with diverse communities or young people
- Commitment to the mission of Safe Passage Project
Preferred Qualifications
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Spanish language skills
