About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead block-level digital design synthesis and STA efforts, focusing on timing closure and power optimization for complex high-speed SoC designs.
- Develop complex timing constraints for IP, subsystems, and full-chip levels.
- Perform timing analysis to root cause violations and suggest solutions across various design implementation stages.
- Execute timing ECOs using both tool-driven and manual techniques.
- Utilize Tcl, Perl, or Python for automation of timing analysis tools and flow enhancements.
- Collaborate with designers to resolve timing and timing-DRC issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a cross-collaborative environment.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Digital Synthesis and Static Timing Analysis (STA).
- Hands-on experience with STA and signoff for complex high-speed SoC designs in cutting-edge process technologies (16nm and below).
- Deep understanding of Liberty models, including power models.
- Proficiency in timing constraints development and achieving timing closure.
- Strong expertise in Digital Synthesis, DFT insertion, and Check Design.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Tcl, Perl, or Python.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex QoR challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Experience with physical design aspects including Floor-planning, Placement, CTS, and Routing.
- Familiarity with Extraction, Physical Verification, and EM/IR flows.
