Senior Splunk Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain enterprise SIEM solutions aligned with operational resilience mandates
• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Splunk for full-stack visibility
• Define and enforce telemetry data governance standards for metrics, logs, and traces
• Integrate Splunk with incident management, ITSM, and AIOps systems
• Design and automate runbooks, alerts, and self-healing workflows using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) models for consistent provisioning
• Engineer SIEM for cloud-native workloads in AWS and Azure
• Drive reduction in incident recurrence and MTTR through observability-led automation
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents and post-incident reviews

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or SRE roles
• At least 5 years specializing in SIEM/Splunk engineering or observability in regulated environments
• Hands-on expertise with Splunk and ELK/Elastic
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD tools
• Experience with AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail) and Azure (Monitor, Log Analytics)
• Deep understanding of SRE principles, error budgets, and auto-remediation
• Familiarity with financial sector operational resilience frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Splunk Certified Power User, Admin, or Architect
• Terraform, Ansible, or Python certifications
• AWS or Azure DevOps certifications
• SRE Foundation or Practitioner certification
• ITIL v4 Managing Professional
