About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact for dermatology products, implementing marketing strategies and promoting Amgen products.
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement, including conducting planned programs and medical educational sessions.
- Develop and manage relationships with accounts by customizing interactions based on customer needs and ensuring product access.
- Resolve or triage reimbursement issues and maintain product contracts.
- Analyze business effectiveness and territory analysis to develop strategic plans with the District Manager.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategies and partner with colleagues to share best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Ability to navigate complex payer environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than 3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
- Specific product or hospital sales experience in dermatology or other specialty areas (oncology, cardiology, inflammation, etc.).
- Local market knowledge of the Charleston, WV territory.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Proven adaptability in sales planning, organizing, and communicating with impact.
