About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact, providing clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Implement marketing strategies and promote Amgen products as directed by the District Manager.
- Achieve territory sales targets through branded sales messages, planned programs, and both in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage customer relationships by customizing interactions based on specific needs and ensuring product access.
- Resolve or triage reimbursement issues and maintain product contracts.
- Analyze business effectiveness, provide feedback on marketing strategy, and develop territory plans.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and uphold Amgen's core values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field.
- Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than 3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
- Experience in specialty areas such as bone health, oncology, cardiology, or inflammation.
- Local market knowledge of the Greenville, SC area.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Strong competencies in sales planning, organizing, and communicating with impact.
