About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive early System-V requirement development and deliverables for Software Defined Vehicle feature/functions
- Drive Requirement/EE/SW integration activities for prototype, pre-production, and production builds
- Manage ECU-level and network-level integration issues across CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet
- Ensure bootloader, flashing, and software update processes (OTA or UDS-based) are fully validated
- Oversee network bring-up, diagnostics verification, and DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) testing
- Align interface control documents (ICDs) and network description files (DBC, LDF, FIBEX, ARXML)
- Coordinate SIL, HIL, and full vehicle integration testing
- Drive test automation and regression coverage using tools like dSPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, or NI Veristand
- Ensure test results are traceable to system and software requirements
- Support change management and version control using Git, SVN, or PTC tools
- Validate ASIL-level software components meet ISO 26262 compliance
- Coordinate FMEA and DFMEA closure for integration-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks
- Proficiency with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS)
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for plant and control models
- Familiarity with vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe
- Knowledge of automotive design and development processes and ISO 26262 compliance
