Senior Specialist - Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the leader and main point of contact for the bottom unit in the footwear development process
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and outsourcing hubs in Asia to transition concepts to production
• Provide technical design constraints, material choices, and product construction input
• Analyze and improve product designs for manufacturability and durability using 2D-3D modeling
• Offer recommendations based on cost implementations of molding methods and tooling designs
• Assist development, product management, and design teams with tooling-related issues

Requirements

• Higher education degree in Engineering or Design
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering role working with development and production, preferably in footwear
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD files, ideally Rhinoceros
• Technical knowledge in materials, manufacturing, and plastic molding
• Expertise in project management, costing, and quality control
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation
