Senior Specialist, Systems Administration

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert responsible for the configuration and maintenance of Linux and/or NetApp systems to ensure reliability, data integrity, and availability.
• Implement routine system updates and patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation to increase operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 4+ years of experience, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• 4 years of Linux and/or NetApp systems administration experience.
• 2 years of experience with VMware or similar virtualization solutions.
• 1 year of experience with Ansible Automation.
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or any DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher approved certification.
• Current and active TS/SCI security clearance (must be willing to submit to a CI Polygraph if required).
• Ability to support up to 25% offsite travel and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Nessus Security Center.
• Experience with Windows Distributed File System (DFS) and Active Directory.
• Experience with Commvault or similar backup solutions.
• Experience managing systems under the NIST Risk Management Framework.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, PowerShell, or Bash.
