Senior Specialist, System Engineering

Responsibilities

• Support hardware and software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation for complex electronic systems.
• Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for system design and the creation of MBSE artifacts.
• Define requirements, flow-down, and ensure traceability for complex electronic systems.
• Integrate hardware/software implementations of Open System Architectures.
• Perform design verification testing including lab, chamber, ground, and flight tests.
• Conduct component trade studies and analyze data from design verification efforts.
• Develop and run simulations to predict system performance in various environments.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects.
• Support or lead Systems Engineering Integrated Product Teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR
• Graduate Degree with 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of expertise in Systems Engineering disciplines and the government program acquisition lifecycle.
• Active US Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RF or radar system components (antenna, receiver, exciter, processor).
• Hands-on experience with system integration, engineering testing, and performance characterization.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo or other system modeling software.
• Experience with technical tools including Matlab, LabView, Python, C/C++, or DOORS.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira and Confluence).
• Experience with aerospace systems, guided weapons, or weapon systems.
