Senior Specialist, System Engineering

Responsibilities

• Support hardware and software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation for technical products.
• Perform system design using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and create MBSE artifacts for complex systems.
• Define requirements, flow-down, and ensure traceability for complex electronic systems.
• Integrate hardware/software implementations of Open System Architectures.
• Conduct component trade studies and perform system integration and performance characterization.
• Execute design verification testing including lab, chamber, ground, and flight tests.
• Develop simulations and analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects.
• Support and lead Systems Engineering Integrated Product Teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR a Graduate Degree with 4+ years of experience, OR 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of expertise in Systems Engineering disciplines and the government program acquisition lifecycle.
• Active US Secret security clearance.
• Experience with requirements definition, verification test matrices, decomposition, and traceability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RF or radar system components (antenna, receiver, exciter, processor).
• Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo or similar system modeling software.
• Experience with Matlab, LabView, Python, C/C++, or DOORS.
• Familiarity with aerospace systems, guided weapons, or weapon systems.
• Experience using the Atlassian tool suite (Jira and Confluence).
• Experience in design, development, or testing of radar and RF systems.
