About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers on new product development and technological innovations to ensure alignment on technical data and manufacturing specifications.
- Oversee supplier development of manufacturing baseline documentation and align planning with Project Engineering and Quality functions.
- Manage the timeliness of technical and manufacturing Q&A between suppliers and Centers of Excellence (COEs).
- Author and review supplier validation and qualification statements of work for new processes.
- Encourage suppliers to propose innovative solutions to enhance products or processes.
- Align with engineering and strategy departments to promote internal research and development (IR&D) projects.
- Generate weekly status reports for management and engineering teams.
- Travel up to 50% to supplier locations, including potential international travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience, OR
- Graduate Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience, OR
- 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to perform technical drawing reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or academic focus in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment involving standard operating procedure development and equipment usage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task complex project actions.
- Excellent communication skills for leading meetings and developing business case analyses for leadership.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
