Senior Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support international CWOA sales through sourcing and selling across Greater China
• Drive business getting and negotiations to meet sales and net profit targets
• Develop strategic sourcing and selling approaches for major CWOA collections
• Expand the database of information regarding Chinese art in Greater China and globally
• Deliver bespoke solutions to consignors and clients within corporate governance
• Maintain high levels of client service and facilitate private treaties
• Assist in catalogue production, valuations, and proposal preparation
• Participate in marketing events and international sales as required

Requirements

• Degree level or equivalent
• Proven experience in business getting and CWOA expertise
• In-depth market knowledge and awareness of archives and reference sources
• Understanding of craft and restoration techniques related to the specialty
• Established network of contacts within the CWOA market
• Functional knowledge of the auction process, including shipping and compliance
• Fluency in English and Cantonese or Mandarin
• Ability to read and write Traditional Chinese
• Flexibility to travel for sales, exhibitions, and client visits
