Senior Specialist, Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) adheres to AS9100/AS9110 standards and aerospace industry requirements
• Plan, organize, and conduct internal audits across the Waco, TX site to assess process effectiveness and regulatory compliance
• Create comprehensive audit plans defining scope, criteria, and required resources
• Conduct interviews with employees at various levels to gather information on process adherence
• Perform audits in diverse environments including manufacturing areas, aircraft hangars, and flightlines
• Identify non-conformances, determine compliance levels, and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings and opportunities for improvement
• Review documentation including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience (or Graduate Degree with 4 years of experience)
• AS9100 and/or AS9110 Lead Auditor certification from an accredited training provider
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and perform analysis using quality tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional aerospace standards such as AS9101 or AS9104
• Familiarity with EtQ Reliance System
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Solumina
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Ability to access ITAR controlled items and/or articles
