Senior Specialist, Production Planning

Responsibilities

• Review Material Requirements Plan (MRP) and problem-solve exception messages
• Release Supplier Requisitions and Shop Orders for both Bill of Material (BOM) and independent demand requirements
• Identify and initiate Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out
• Analyze program demand, create requisitions, and maintain horizontal plans or line of balance for consumable items
• Work collaboratively with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to address issues and ensure customer commitments are met
• Perform material transfers and create new Part Numbers as required
• Travel up to 5% to other facilities and suppliers as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of production planning experience, OR
• Graduate Degree with 4+ years of production planning experience, OR
• 10+ years of production planning experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of solid rocket propulsion, explosive/pyrotechnic devices, or electromechanical actuators
• Experience with Oracle, Delmia, or Windchill
• Working knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
• Experience in leading, reviewing, and critiquing the work of supporting team members
