Senior Specialist - Power BI Developer/Reporting

Responsibilities

• Design and build intuitive, high-performance Power BI dashboards and interactive reports to track cybersecurity metrics and compliance health
• Construct robust data models, DAX measures, and Power Query (M) transformations to aggregate disparate security data sources
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, risk analysts, and senior management to translate business questions into technical reporting specifications
• Establish validation processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all automated security reporting
• Drive internal adoption of reporting tools by conducting training sessions and creating documentation for end-users
• Act as a professional interface between technical squads and executive leadership within a Tier 1 financial institution

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting with a strong emphasis on Power BI
• Practical experience operating within a regulated banking environment
• Prior experience in a client-facing professional services or consultancy capacity
• Documented experience connecting Power BI to SQL databases, cloud warehouses (Azure/AWS), or security platform APIs
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, gateway architectures, and row-level security (RLS)
• Strong capability in designing star schemas and writing complex, optimized DAX expressions
• Exceptional data visualization skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical executives

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
• Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data manipulation
• Conceptual understanding of standard security metrics and risk indicators (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks)
• Experience integrating Power BI with Power Automate for automated alerting
