About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and process timely, accurate, and multi-frequency payroll operations for key international regions, including Australia and Mexico.
- Ensure strict compliance with global payroll tax regulations, fringe benefits, stock-based compensation, and annual filing requirements.
- Partner with Human Resources, Accounting, Tax, and Legal teams to resolve complex multi-jurisdictional payroll queries.
- Oversee the performance and relationship management of international third-party payroll service providers.
- Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and payroll calendars to drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure seamless data flow across enterprise payroll integrations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of payroll experience in a professional practice or in-house corporate environment.
- Proven experience managing tax reporting and payroll processing across multiple countries, specifically the US, Australia, or Mexico.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end payroll lifecycles, including accounting, tax liabilities, and annual filings.
- Practical experience with enterprise-level HRIS or payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or CloudPay.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation or a professional accounting qualification.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish to support Latin American operations.
- Experience managing third-party international payroll vendors.
- Track record of optimizing system integrations or supporting complex payroll audits.
