Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and maintain processes for the fabrication of aerospace pressure vessels
• Create detailed work instructions and procedures meeting design, quality, safety, and environmental requirements
• Design and implement tooling and fixtures to support efficient manufacturing of parts and assemblies
• Provide technical guidance, training, and shop floor support to manufacturing personnel
• Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and interface with support groups to ensure hardware quality
• Perform investigations into nonconforming hardware and implement corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Graduate Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing review
• Experience with CNC Machining, Welding, and assembly processes
• Knowledge of AS9100D and lean manufacturing/six sigma principles
• Experience with NDT and dimensional measurement techniques
