Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of system and subsystem cable architecture for high-reliability space-based remote sensing systems
• Create and maintain interconnect diagrams, drawings, and specifications
• Evaluate and analyze EMI, Signal Integrity, and IR drop impacts on cable signals
• Provide Signal Integrity insight and guidance to the broader design team
• Evaluate and select key materials and components for the design environment
• Perform worst-case analysis on power and analog circuits
• Direct and guide cable design teams and participate in technical reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Master of Science Degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Proven experience working with electrical schematics
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing systems for space environments
• Experience with schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power, analog, and digital circuits
• Proficiency with tools such as SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Allegro, or MentorGraphics
• Experience writing performance specifications
• Experience leading teams and managing complex project designs
