About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end cloud vulnerability management lifecycle, including continuous scanning, technical analysis, and remediation tracking
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and vulnerability scanning platforms across AWS and Azure
- Collaborate with cloud engineering, DevOps, and system owners to drive the patching of infrastructure and container defects
- Translate raw vulnerability data into prioritized engineering tasks by evaluating threat intelligence and business context
- Design and deliver cloud risk posture reports, remediation trends, and compliance metrics for senior leadership
- Represent Deeplight by providing proactive technical leadership and structured problem-solving for major banking clients
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dedicated cybersecurity roles
- At least 3 years focused strictly on cloud security and vulnerability management
- Documented experience managing infrastructure risks within a regulated financial institution
- Hands-on experience with container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Technical proficiency with CSPM tools such as Prisma Cloud, Wiz, Qualys, or Tenable
- Strong understanding of CVSS frameworks and attack vectors native to AWS and Azure
- Experience in a client-facing professional services or consulting capacity
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CISSP
- Ability to write scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate vulnerability triaging and alerting workflows
- Familiarity with modern threat landscapes and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud
