Senior Specialist Bioprocess Development – Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and continuous improvement of biotechnological production processes, such as enzymes and antibodies.
• Provide technical support for processes during transfer into production environments.
• Create, maintain, and review GMP-relevant documentation, including manufacturing instructions, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Lead deviation analyses, including root-cause analysis, and define CAPA measures and change-control processes.
• Act as a key interface between Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and R&D.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects focused on process optimization, modernization, or digitalization.

Requirements

• Degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field (Master's or PhD preferred).
• Multi-year professional experience, preferably within a GMP-regulated production or development environment.
• Deep knowledge of biotechnological manufacturing processes and process optimization techniques.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with a high level of quality awareness.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
