Senior Specialist - Accounting

Responsibilities

• Review accounting vouchers and journal entries prepared by the centralized operations team in Shanghai
• Manage and post confidential payroll/salary accounting vouchers and related accruals
• Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analyses
• Coordinate the annual local statutory reporting process with external accounting firms
• Execute SOX controls to ensure compliance with corporate governance
• Act as the primary accounting contact for local commercial, retail, and operational business teams
• Coordinate communications with external partners including banks and legal advisors

Requirements

• 8-10 years of progressive professional experience in accounting or finance
• Experience in multinational enterprises, preferably in retail, FMCG, or consumer goods
• Strong technical understanding of J-GAAP and IFRS
• Native Japanese fluency and professional working proficiency in English
• Experience collaborating with external audit firms (e.g., Big 4)
• Familiarity with modern ERPs such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
