About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing plans and strategies for aerospace components
- Design, optimize, and implement assembly and integration procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing tools
- Lead the cut-in and ramp-up of new products from development to production
- Review product designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to design engineers
- Develop and implement quality control measures, inspection criteria, and test plans
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical support and guidance to production personnel
Requirements
- U.S. Persons status required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and integration
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
- Experience developing manufacturing plans and assembly procedures
- Experience with CAD/CAM, PLM, or ERP systems
- Experience planning or executing electrical/functional testing of components or spacecraft
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality management systems
- Experience in programming with Python or LabVIEW
- Experience in environmental testing (vibration, thermal, pneumatic)
- Familiarity with spacecraft subsystem interactions and design trades
