Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC and ADCS development for a diverse fleet of spacecraft
• Mentor a team responsible for GNC design, modeling, and analysis
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management
• Perform GNC component selection and subsystem design
• Execute test process development, including hardware-in-the-loop and Monte Carlo simulations
• Define fault detection and response protocols
• Support internal and external design reviews
• Coordinate with global teams in Denver and New Zealand

Requirements

• B.S. degree in a relevant field
• Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI)
• U.S. citizenship required
• For Level I: 5+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS
• For Level II: 8+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers in commercial or government sectors

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 2+ years of RPOD design and operations experience
• Experience with Jira planning and workflow
• Hands-on experience with IMU, reaction wheels, star trackers, and gyroscopes
• Experience developing blended attitude solutions from sensor data
• Experience developing, implementing, and verifying flight software
• Experience with spacecraft on-orbit operations and anomaly resolution
