About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead GNC and ADCS development for a diverse fleet of spacecraft
- Mentor a team responsible for GNC design, modeling, and analysis
- Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products
- Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management
- Perform GNC component selection and subsystem design
- Execute test process development and hardware-in-the-loop/Monte Carlo simulations
- Define fault detection and response protocols
- Coordinate with engineering teams in Colorado and New Zealand
- Support internal and external design reviews
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS (for Level I)
- 8+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS (for Level II)
- Experience interfacing with aerospace customers in commercial or government sectors
- U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree
- Active Secret or TS Security clearance
- 2+ years of RPOD design and operations experience
- Experience with IMU, reaction wheels, star trackers, and gyroscopes
- Experience developing blended attitude solutions from sensor data
- Demonstrated experience implementing and verifying flight software
- Experience with spacecraft on-orbit operations and anomaly resolution
- Proficiency in Jira planning and workflow
