Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer I/II

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC and ADCS development for a diverse fleet of spacecraft
• Mentor a team responsible for GNC design, modeling, and analysis
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management
• Perform GNC component selection and subsystem design
• Execute test process development and hardware-in-the-loop/Monte Carlo simulations
• Define fault detection and response protocols
• Coordinate with engineering teams in Colorado and New Zealand
• Support internal and external design reviews

Requirements

• BS degree in a relevant field
• 5+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS (for Level I)
• 8+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS (for Level II)
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers in commercial or government sectors
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD degree
• Active Secret or TS Security clearance
• 2+ years of RPOD design and operations experience
• Experience with IMU, reaction wheels, star trackers, and gyroscopes
• Experience developing blended attitude solutions from sensor data
• Demonstrated experience implementing and verifying flight software
• Experience with spacecraft on-orbit operations and anomaly resolution
• Proficiency in Jira planning and workflow
