Senior Spacecraft Electrical Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Spacecraft Design Engineers to develop electrical system requirements and harness specifications
• Select components and design advanced electrical interfaces ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Serve as subject matter expert for electrical system integration and harnessing
• Diagnose and address technical issues during critical testing and launch preparations
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and program stakeholders for seamless integration
• Lead identification, design, and modification of detailed harness schematics
• Create comprehensive data packages for connector and cable pin-to-pin requirements

Requirements

• BS or MS in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in wire harness design and electrical system development
• Experience in system and component testing
• Fundamental understanding of spacecraft system architecture
• Proficiency in creating drawings and data packages for build teams
• Experience routing harnesses in a CAD environment
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of space vehicle-level systems engineering (grounding, EMC/EMI strategies)
• Practical hands-on experience with wire harness manufacturing for space applications
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and PLM software
• Familiarity with IPC and NASA industry standard harness requirements
