Senior Solutions Architect - Cards & Payments Platform

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture design for strategic cards and payments platforms within a banking environment.
• Produce comprehensive architecture artifacts, solution designs, and technical specifications.
• Define scalable, resilient, and secure architecture patterns using API and Microservices architectures.
• Architect solutions across the complete card lifecycle, including issuance, activation, transaction processing, clearing, and settlement.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party card management systems and payment solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Drive architecture governance, conduct peer reviews, and mentor junior engineering teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall technology experience.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Solution Architect specifically within the Cards or Payments domain.
• Hands-on architecture experience with card management platforms such as VisionPLUS, Way4, First Data, or CardPac.
• Deep understanding of card processing, including authorization, switching, acquiring, and dispute management.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and compliance, including PCI-DSS, EMV, and PSD2.
• Expertise in API architecture, Microservices, and distributed systems design.
• Proficiency with financial messaging standards such as ISO 8583.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and container platforms.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI applications in fintech.
• Familiarity with UAE Central Bank Regulations.
