Senior Solution Systems Analyst, Finance Technology (FICO)

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and delivery of innovative technology solutions for Finance, focusing on the SAP S/4HANA transformation.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-centric technology designs aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Architect solution designs that integrate seamlessly with existing systems, identifying risks and optimization opportunities.
• Drive structured testing strategies, including integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing (UAT).
• Oversee the deployment of Finance technology solutions, including cutover planning and change management.
• Provide expert-level proactive and reactive support, establishing best practices for incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior analysts and serve as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders, Technology teams, and external partners.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in SAP functional consulting or solution analysis, specifically within Finance modules.
• Deep, hands-on expertise with SAP FICO (FI, CO, and related sub-modules) within SAP ECC.
• Proven experience in at least one full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance (Central Finance, Universal Journal, Asset Accounting, etc.).
• Experience with SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and CPI/PI.
• Hands-on experience with two or more of the following: Blackline, Ariba, Concur, OneStream, or Vertex.
• Familiarity with retail-specific financial processes like merchandise accounting, inventory valuation, and revenue recognition.
• Ability to produce comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and test scripts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP FICO).
• Experience with data migration strategies such as LTMC or BODS.
• Experience working in a large-scale, high-volume transactional retail environment.
