Senior Solution Integrator-Netcool

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure IBM Netcool probes, including SNMP, CORBA, Kafka, JMS, and REST-based integrations.
• Onboard telecom EMS/NMS platforms from vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, ZTE, Cisco, and Samsung.
• Maintain and update lookup files, rules files, and enrichment logic to support alarm normalization and routing.
• Develop probe rules for alarm parsing, severity mapping, enrichment, and deduplication.
• Implement ObjectServer automations, including triggers, procedures, and SQL scripts.
• Develop operational scripts using Shell, Perl, or Python to automate routine tasks and deployments.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing for new probes and enhancements.
• Provide L2/L3 support for production Netcool environments, troubleshooting alarm ingestion and connectivity issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Netcool/OMNIbus or similar large-scale event management platforms.
• Proficiency in Core Java and/or Python for designing complex integrations and automation.
• Expertise in automation and DevOps practices, including Ansible, Jenkins, and GitOps.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• In-depth understanding of telecom network technologies, including 4G/5G and OSS/BSS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
