Senior Software Validation Engineer

About the Company

Mytra is creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for the $1T supply chain market.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams to identify gaps in system architecture, validation pipelines, and test infrastructure
• Own the full life-cycle from gap identification to deploying automated validation processes
• Build and scale automated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and simulation test infrastructure
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis for hardware, software, and firmware issues
• Manage system validation burn down and drive issues to closure across domains
• Manage teams of agents to deploy and maintain internal validation and release web products

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proficient software engineer with experience in hardware system validation pipelines
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Expert proficiency with Python and Linux-based environments
• Familiarity with C, C++, or Rust for firmware-level debugging
• Experience with HIL and SIL firmware validation tests
• Experience with communication standards like CAN, I2C, and SPI
• Proficiency with Git and software version management
• Proficiency in agent-driven coding practices (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fleet-wide release qualification for robotics or industrial automation
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles for SIL/HIL
• Familiarity with observability for distributed systems (metrics, logs, traces)
• Experience with embedded debugging (JTAG, SWD, core dumps)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts
• Hands-on experience with lab automation and hardware test infrastructure
• Exposure to functional safety practices like DFMEA
