Senior Software Tester - Manual

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies based on system and software requirements
• Review requirements and author detailed, structured test cases
• Participate in requirements or test cases reviews in cross-functional meetings
• Coordinate testing activities within the QA/testing team
• Execute assigned manual test cases and document results accurately
• Report test execution status, progress, and defects regularly to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with ASPICE, especially SWE.6
• Automate test cases where applicable to improve efficiency and coverage
• Work with test benches including power supplies, Vector CANoe, ECUs, and perform hardware harness modifications
• Create and maintain the Software Test Plan throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage defects using ticketing systems

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe for automotive validation and testing
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
• Knowledge of UDS diagnostics, DTC analysis, and ECU flashing
• Experience with requirement management tools like IBM DOORS or Codebeamer
• Strong understanding of ASPICE processes (SWE.4, SWE.5, SWE.6)
• Experience in end-to-end manual testing and validation lifecycle
• Experience in IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) system testing
• Experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments
• Experience with QNX or Linux-based embedded automotive systems
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification or proven usage experience
• English: C1 Advanced

Preferred Qualifications

• CAPL scripting for CAN-based test automation
• Python, C++, C#, or Java scripting experience
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience with NI TestStand automation frameworks
