Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile testing across iOS and Android, while supporting web testing for Truveta Studio and other products.
• Manage testing requests, priorities, execution capacity, and release validation across mobile and web workstreams.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test suites, and regression coverage in Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Translate product requirements, designs, and user stories into clear mobile and web test scenarios.
• Test app flows including onboarding, authentication, token refresh, deep links, and install/upgrade processes.
• Validate mobile-specific behaviors such as app lifecycle, push notifications, permissions, and offline behavior.
• Capture detailed test evidence including screenshots, device logs, crash reports, and network traces.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects, partnering with engineering and product teams to verify fixes.
• Provide concise QA status updates and go/no-go recommendations for software releases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software QA/testing experience, including hands-on testing of native iOS and Android applications.
• Expertise in Azure DevOps Test Plans or a comparable test-management system.
• Proven experience testing mobile authentication, onboarding, and app lifecycle behavior.
• Ability to perform web testing, including functional, regression, and cross-browser validation.
• Strong manual and exploratory testing skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with command-line tools and basic scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso.
• Experience with web automation tools like Playwright.
• Familiarity with mobile diagnostics tools including Xcode, Android Studio, and network tracing.
• Experience testing healthcare, privacy-sensitive, or regulated software products.
• Knowledge of mobile security/privacy testing and OWASP concepts.
• Experience with TestFlight or Google Play internal testing environments.
