Senior Software QC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate testing activities following structured processes and predefined schedules
• Prepare test plans and user acceptance testing (UAT) documents based on business and technical requirements
• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases using Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Postman
• Analyze user stories and test outcomes to identify defects early
• Log and escalate issues in Jira and prepare detailed reports for daily meetings
• Contribute to sprint planning and Agile ceremonies by estimating testing efforts
• Execute Functional, Integration, System, Performance, and Regression testing
• Guide and support junior test engineers through training and feedback
• Coordinate testing across desktop, web, and mobile platforms in various staging environments
• Create technical documentation, training materials, and user manuals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of professional software testing experience
• Proficiency with Selenium, TestNG, and Java
• Experience with API testing using Postman
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with defect tracking in Jira
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with risk-based testing and quality assurance best practices
• Ability to mentor junior team members
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
