Senior Software QC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate testing activities, including the preparation of test plans and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documents.
• Design, write, and execute both manual and automated test cases using Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Postman.
• Perform various levels of testing, including Functional, Integration, System, Performance, and Regression testing.
• Log, track, and escalate defects in Jira, providing detailed reports to facilitate prompt resolution.
• Analyze user stories and technical requirements to ensure software alignment with business needs.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning by estimating testing efforts and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Guide and mentor junior test engineers to maintain consistent testing standards and team competency.
• Manage testing across multiple platforms, including desktop, web, and mobile environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software quality control.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium and TestNG.
• Solid programming skills in Java.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Expertise in defect tracking and management using Jira.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Proven ability to mentor junior team members.
• Experience working in fast-paced, multi-platform environments.
