About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Azure cloud platform strategy and execution, defining product roadmaps and guiding architecture decisions.
- Own the FinOps strategy to ensure visibility into cloud spend, optimization initiatives, and financial accountability.
- Drive workload modernization and migration initiatives by partnering with application owners and stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor a global team of Public Cloud Architects and Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Deliver actionable FinOps insights through monthly reporting and quarterly reviews with senior leadership.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement to forecast spend and implement effective cost recovery models.
- Champion automation, reusable architecture patterns, and agile delivery across hybrid cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years with an advanced degree).
- 5+ years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- 2+ years of experience with FinOps practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with Git-based tools like GitLab.
- Certifications in AWS (Solutions Architect Professional), Azure (Solutions Architect Expert), or FinOps (FOCP).
- Experience building enterprise FinOps practices, including showback/chargeback models.
- Proficiency with Atlassian Jira, PowerBI, or container platforms.
