Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own data-driven large-scale backend services for multiple platforms
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements in collaboration with product teams
• Address technical debt and improve system performance and reliability
• Recommend improvements and emerging technologies to address systemic pain points
• Provide production and integration support for products running in Zynga games and services
• Promote engineering best practices regarding performance, reliability, and measurability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 6+ years of professional experience in software development and backend services
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with building RESTful backend services in Java, GoLang, or Python
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Redshift
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
