Senior Software Engineer, Yield

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-integrity backend systems to enable businesses to earn returns on idle cash with total liquidity
• Contribute to the architecture and long-term technical vision of backend systems, including engineering strategy and framework selection
• Own end-to-end delivery of core investment workflows, such as client signup, investment, and redemption processes
• Build and maintain mission-critical financial infrastructure, including reconciliation controls, unit registries, and investment ledgers
• Write high-quality, testable code with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and seamless integration with external providers
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Design teams to deliver superior business experiences
• Promote engineering best practices regarding observability, API design, and robust integration rails

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience solving distributed systems challenges related to scalability, consistency, and latency
• Mastery of backend technologies (experience with Kotlin, Vert.x, Temporal, or Kafka is a plus)
• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically GCP or AWS
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with automated testing and quality control processes
• Experience integrating with observability tooling such as Splunk, NewRelic, Prometheus, or Grafana
