Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and technical leader, providing mentorship and guidance to engineers across the organization.
• Research, design, develop, and implement scalable full-stack applications and software systems.
• Translate business and functional requirements into maintainable technical designs and solutions.
• Maintain accountability for the quality, reliability, and performance of services and applications.
• Lead incident response efforts and support rapid diagnosis and resolution of system issues.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in product, operations, and engineering to identify challenges and deliver solutions.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early in the development lifecycle and recommend mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be substituted).
• 6+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in developing web-based applications and web services using Java and REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience working with relational databases and integrating third-party services into enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related technical field.
• Experience with modern development toolchains including Git, Jira, IntelliJ IDEA, or VS Code.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications and migrating on-premises applications to AWS.
• Experience with Hibernate, J2EE, or enterprise application architecture.
