Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test, and implement full-stack software systems using Java and Angular.
• Act as a technical expert and mentor to junior engineers to improve team effectiveness.
• Lead or consult for teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.
• Interpret functional and non-functional requirements into high-quality code and designs.
• Identify technical risks, system problems, and potential solutions to minimize service restoration time.
• Maintain complete documentation and communicate project status to stakeholders and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience with web-based applications and web services using Java and REST.
• Experience interfacing with databases and integrating third-party products with existing infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) models and design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Cloud-Native development, specifically porting or refactoring to AWS.
• Proficiency with tools such as IntelliJ/VS Code, JIRA, and Git.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum project development frameworks.
• Knowledge of J2EE, Java EE, JavaScript, SQL, and Hibernate/Seam.
